Virtual Initial Consultation and Virtual Follow-up Sessions do not include hands-on elements but incorporate treatment and education as much as possible. Exploratory Sessions do not include treatment.
Initial Consultation
60-minute session for someone who has never consulted Dr. Whiteford or has not had an Initial Consultation or Follow-up Session with her in the past four years.
Includes multiple elements: Gathering History of all past problems, even those apparently resolved; Visual Inspection of signs of dysfunction (posture, deformities, skin, adipose, scars); Movement Analysis of relevant body segments to determine problem areas; Palpation of pertinent regions to identify dysfunction in the connective tissue layers; Treatment at strategic points using Fascial Manipulation-Stecco®, cupping, and dry needling as appropriate; Education of self-help measures and appropriate exercises (minimal) to support changes and promote independent recovery and resolution. Follow-up Session
30-minute session for someone who has had an Initial Consultation or Follow-up Session with Dr. Whiteford within the past four years.
Includes these elements: Interpretation of status & response to last session; Repeat Movement Analysis to note change; Reassessment with Palpation of pertinent regions to identify remaining dysfunction in the connective tissue layers; Treatment based on response to prior session and remaining issues using Fascial Manipulation-Stecco®, cupping, and dry needling as appropriate; Education with progression, correction, and reinforcement of self-help measures and appropriate exercises (minimal) to support changes and promote independent recovery and resolution. Cost: $125
Exploratory Session
30-minute session to explore your concerns and options with Dr. Whiteford.
Includes abbreviated discussion of history & current issues, brief movement analysis (only with in-person or video session), palpation (only with in-person), & recommendations for appropriate actions such as self-treatment, exercise initiation or modification, and pursuing initial consultation and intervention. A nice option for those desiring direction in care, as well as those who do not live locally. Does not include actual treatment. Cost: Free of charge.
